SESSION OVERVIEW

Full Fantasy: Dungeons, Dragons and Identity Exploration with LGBTQ+ Youth
This workshop seeks to help providers understand the role exploration plays in identity formation and how Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TTRPG), like Dungeons and Dragons, can provide a safe ( and fun!) space for LGBTQ+ youth to explore. Participants will learn TTRPG basics, the specific mental health challenges of LGBTQ+ youth, barriers to healthy identity formation, and how they all fit together. Participants will also get hands on experience by creating their own original DnD character that reflects a part of themselves they would like to explore.
