Janet Lazar
Janet Lazar has worked at Penny Lane since 2015. She started at Penny Lane as a Clinical Supervisor and currently works as the Agency Clinical Trainer. Janet is the certified Agency MAP supervisor and is involved in the RJC, is a certified Motivational Interviewing Trainer and is a mentor in two different Penny Lane programs. Janet also currently supervises a student in the MIP program. Janet is passionate about helping youth to connect to themselves, to the community and to live a life of purpose.
SESSION OVERVIEW
Connecting to Ourselves and as a Community
The presentation will begin with a benefit finding exercise. We are going to look at different points of the story and think of the benefit that he gained and how times of adversity led him to live a life of purpose and advocacy. Each individual at the training will be walked through the exercise. This has been a year of setbacks for LGBTQ+ individuals but collectively the community will come back stronger.
